We help Haredi youth who need something different
Many Haredi youth, who are neither learning in Yeshivot nor serving in the army, have few prospects for a productive life; a life that contributes to the preservation of the state of Israel while building a better economic and social order; for the country and for themselves as individuals.
Based on the important principles of unity, growth and success, the “Friends of Nahal Haredi” is an exceptional non-profit organization that has joined forces with the IDF in an effort to reach out to the young men of the Haredi community who want to join the military, and who want to learn and grow.
Their needs are unique, as they have little understanding of the challenges that await them during their military service and their integration into the workforce.
“We provide guidance, from recruitment, throughout their military service and beyond.”
No Haredi youth movement or support system exists to promote these goals. The number of Haredi recruits with a genuine desire to serve their country grows with every passing year. Proportionally, so grows the need for a highly qualified staff of professional educators and mentors to build an intensive mentoring, guidance and educational system.
First and foremost, “Friends of Nahal Haredi” adds a spiritual dimension to the IDF by sponsoring religious soldiers within a framework that is strictly observant.
The Netzach Yehuda NPO supports haredi soldiers throughout their military service, up to and including their discharge and integration into civilian life, in order to help them grow through their military service and emerge as employed haredi Jews with a deep sense of connection to Torah and mitzvoth.
The Netzach Yehuda NPO is a rabbinical civilian entity that views military service as a bond that can bind together various sectors of the haredi community with the entire nation.
The Organization will serve as a representative for the haredi public vis-a-vis military, government and public entities, and as an authoritative advisor to guide and assist these entities in all matters pertaining to haredi service in the IDF.
The Organization will help any soldier who wishes to maintain a haredi lifestyle while serving in the military in one of the various “Netzach” programs, while helping him turn his military service into a springboard for personal development and growth in Torah.
The Organization will guide haredi military alumni in a variety of fields in order to help them become part of a community after being discharged from the IDF.
The Organization will work to clearly define a respectable identity for the G_d-fearing Jew who can navigate the job market while remaining connected at his core to the world of Torah that has been passed down for generations.
