A unique parents’ evening on the roof of the Netzach Yehuda Association in Jerusalem.

Yesterday, 11/24/2011, a parents’ evening was held at the Netzach Yehuda Association at 26 Bezalel Street in Jerusalem for the parents of the soldiers who enlisted last August.
The evening was held with the best observance of the Ministry of Health’s procedures for this period, as well as separation in the open space, a heating system for the cold Jerusalem winter and light refreshments.

The parents of the soldiers came for the first time to experience their son’s military service up close, to understand the many challenges and the importance of the parents’ support for their son throughout his military service.

The parents were exposed to the grueling training phase until the boys became IDF fighters, for the spiritual and personal response accompanied by the rabbinical staff and the association, to the Torah military aspect of the military rabbinate and finally to answer many questions of the parents.

The evening was attended by:
Rabbis and founders of Eternal Judea; Rabbi Yitzchak Bar-Haim and Rabbi David Fox and other staff members from the Netzach organization.
Senior Lecturer Dan Tyomkin who spoke with parents about challenges in the current generation and how to support and enable effective coping, particularly in military service,
Company Commander Capt. Yehuda, Rabbi of the Eternal Judea Battalion, Capt. Rabbi Yehoshua Gerstein.
